Full-Time About the Role KidneyCare Oklahoma is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to fully own and manage the provider credentialing process from start to finish. This role is responsible for collecting provider information, completing credentialing and privileging applications, coordinating with payors and facilities, tracking approvals, maintaining organized records, and proactively resolving issues before they create delays. This position requires someone who can take ownership of the process, build strong working relationships with providers and facility credentialing contacts, and keep the process moving with accuracy, reliability, and consistent follow-up. Key Responsibilities Own the facility credentialing and re-credentialing process from start to completion. Serve as the primary point of contact for provider credentialing needs, questions, missing items, and application status updates. Serve as the liaison with payer credentialing Build and maintain strong working relationships with providers to collect information, resolve missing documentation, and ensure timely completion of applications. Build and maintain relationships with facility credentialing contacts to understand requirements, submission processes, timelines, and follow-up expectations. Collect, review, and maintain provider information, applications, licenses, certifications, malpractice coverage, CVs, references, and supporting documents. Complete and maintain provider credentialing files using KidneyCare Oklahoma's credentialing folder structure and tracking tools. Coordinate payor credentialing and enrollment activities with insurance companies and credentialing partners. Obtain and store proof that providers are active with payors. Complete facility privileging packets and applications for hospitals, dialysis units, and other required facilities. Track facility privileging status, missing items, approvals, effective dates, and renewal timelines. Maintain accurate records for provider licenses, DEA, board certifications, malpractice insurance, ACLS/BLS, and other expiration-based items. Proactively follow up with providers, payors, facilities, and internal team members to prevent delays. Identify process gaps and support improvements to credentialing workflows, checklists, SOPs, and trackers. Communicate credentialing status, blockers, risks, and next steps clearly to leadership. Ensure all credentialing documentation is accurate, complete, organized, and submitted on time. Required Qualifications Prior experience in healthcare credentialing, provider enrollment, medical staff services, or facility privileging. Strong understanding of provider credentialing documentation and application requirements. Experience working with provider files, licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, CVs, references, and supporting documentation. Ability to fully own a process and manage it without constant direction. Strong relationship-building skills with providers, internal teams, payors, and facility credentialing contacts. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing, outdated, or incomplete information. Excellent organization, tracking, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple providers, payors, facilities, and deadlines at the same time. Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, PDF forms, shared folders, and email. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and persistently with providers and external organizations. Preferred Qualifications Experience with payor enrollment and insurance credentialing. Experience with facility privileging or hospital medical staff applications. Familiarity with CAQH, NPI, Medicare, Medicaid, DEA, state licenses, and provider enrollment processes. Experience working in a physician practice, specialty practice, nephrology practice, hospital, or healthcare administrative setting. Experience creating, maintaining, or improving credentialing checklists, trackers, SOPs, and process workflows. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is not someone who simply waits for instructions. They are comfortable working directly with providers, building relationships with facility credentialing teams, asking the right questions, and pushing the process forward in a professional way. They understand that credentialing requires accuracy, persistence, communication, and trust. Accurate and timely credentialing prevents delays, rework, and operational disruption. This role is critical to strengthening and stabilizing KidneyCare Oklahoma's credentialing process.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.28 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
