An Enrollment Specialist provides assistance and information for people who apply for a government benefits program or health care program. Answers questions, assists with an application process, and reviews applications and relevant background information to determine eligibility. Assists eligible applicants with enrolling in a program.

T Job Description Our client is seeking a Medicaid Enrollment Specialist to support uninsured and underinsured patients through the Connecticut Medicaid enrollment process. This individual will serve as a patient advocate, educating patients on eligibility requirements, assisting with applications, collecting required documentation, and managing cases from intake through enrollment. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with enrollment into Connecticut Medicaid (HUSKY Health) programs. Conduct eligibility screenings and educate patients on available coverage options. Guide patients through the Medicaid application process from initial outreach through submission. Collect, review, and verify required documentation including proof of income, residency, identity, and household information. Follow up with patients regarding incomplete applications or missing documentation. Track case progress and document all patient interactions within the enrollment platform. Qualifications Experience assisting patients with Medicaid enrollment, healthcare coverage, or public benefits programs. Connecticut Medicaid (HUSKY Health) enrollment experience. Strong understanding of Medicaid eligibility requirements and application processes. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience working in hospitals, physician practices, FQHCs, or healthcare enrollment organizations. Experience with Medicaid eligibility determination and application processing. Knowledge of additional public assistance programs such as SNAP or Medicare Savings Programs.
