The Insurance Verification Specialist is a key member of the Billing Department and plays an essential role in ensuring accurate and timely insurance verification to support clinic operations and patient services. Key Responsibilities Contact insurance carriers to confirm eligibility, benefits, and coverage details Communicate insurance benefit information clearly and professionally to patients Obtain, track, and maintain current referrals for in-network and out-of-network insurance plans Update patient insurance information promptly when plans or benefits change Ensure insurance verification data is accurately documented and maintained in patient records Manage multiple internal communication channels to support timely and accurate patient insurance verification
