Job Description

PC Credentialing Specialist Position Summary:
Coordinate provider plan enrollment; and performs clerical duties and other tasks in support of the Provider Relations Director. Maintains provider database and facilitates the provider credentialing process. Responsible for maintaining provider records and supporting documentation on all MCHS ProCare physicians and providers timely and accurately.
Education:
High school diploma with some college courses preferred.
Training and Experience:
Two or more years experience in provider/payor credentialing.
Job Knowledge:
Must be professional and able to prioritize and complete work within assigned deadlines.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Extended periods of sitting. Extensive data entry and long hours at a computer. Must be able to maintain a pleasant, even temperament while working under pressure and heavy workloads. Numerous trips to other clinics, facilities and hospitals may be necessary.
