Job Description

Join Utah Valley University and play a vital role in supporting student success from the very start of their academic journey. As an Admissions Processing Specialist I, you will combine analytical problem-solving with meaningful customer service, ensuring that application records are accurate, secure, and processed with care. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced student information systems, investigate and resolve complex data issues, and contribute to the integrity of the university's admissions processes. Your attention to detail will directly impact prospective students by helping create a smooth and reliable admissions experience. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy balancing technical work with helping others. In addition to maintaining high standards of data quality and compliance, you will serve as a trusted resource for prospective and admitted students, providing clear guidance and support as they navigate the admissions process. At UVU, you will be part of a collaborative, student-centered environment where your work makes a measurable difference in both institutional effectiveness and student achievement. Reviews flagged applications for potential fraud, conducts identity verification, and resolves issues to ensure compliance. Coordinates with Financial Aid and Cybersecurity teams when fraudulent activity is identified, supporting timely escalation and resolution. Organizes, maintains, and updates high volumes of student records within the CRM and Student Information System, ensuring accurate data entry and confidentiality. Resolves inconsistencies and multiple UVIDs, to maintain clean, reliable data. Monitors and manages integration logs to ensure accurate and timely data flow between the CRM and Student Information System. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves data transfer errors, correcting issues to maintain system alignment, data integrity, and reliable downstream processing. Runs and evaluates system processes and daily audits to ensure data accuracy, verify completeness, and proactively identify discrepancies. Assists in processing admission applications and high school transcripts. Collaborates with Student Success, Concurrent Enrollment, Transfer Credit, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, and other departments while advising students on admissions processes and requirements to ensure a seamless experience. Other duties as assigned. Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related field plus a minimum of two years of directly related experience; OR any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling six years. Knowledge Knowledge of computerized student information systems and customer relationship manager. Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Knowledge of data entry and management. Knowledge of college admission policy and procedures. Knowledge of Utah residency requirements. Knowledge of fraudulent application protocols. Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Skills Skills in collaborating with other departments/stakeholders and project management. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Skill in training and development and the ability to develop and deliver presentations. Skill in interpersonal communication, problem solving, and decision making.

Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive (training provided) Abilities Ability to troubleshoot problems with the student information system and customer relationship manager. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff. Ability to work with a wide range of confidential issues. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
