Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Insurance Coordinator, where your expertise will streamline insurance processes and enhance patient experiences. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for dental insurance inquiries, verify coverage details, and ensure accurate billing and coding. Your proactive approach will help optimize revenue cycles while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Responsibilities Required:
Posting of insurance payments, understanding of EOBS, confidence in handing all denials and appeals and insurance verification. STRONG knowledge in insurance. Verify dental insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for patients prior to treatment Manage insurance claims submission and follow-up to ensure timely reimbursement Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Collaborate with dental office staff to resolve insurance discrepancies or denials efficiently Conduct insurance verification and pre-authorizations to facilitate smooth patient appointments Stay updated on managed care policies and changes in dental insurance plans to provide accurate information Posting insurance payments, handling all denials and appeals. Manage insurance portals Skills Strong knowledge of managed care processes and dental insurance protocols Experience with medical office procedures, including medical terminology and medical records management Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information Excellent communication skills for liaising with insurance companies, patients, and team members Office experience in a healthcare or dental setting is highly preferred Ability to navigate insurance verification systems efficiently and accurately Hours Monday•Thursday 7:00am•5:30 pm.
Pay:
$18.00•$23.00 per hour
