Executive Assistant Location:
Boulder, CO (On-site) S chedule : Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
Pay :
$65,000 to $85,000 per year, (may be adjusted upward for candidates with additional experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Criminal Defense Paralegal / Executive Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable balancing traditional paralegal responsibilities with executive assistant and administrative support. The position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a focus on client service.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for clients by answering phones, greeting visitors, and conducting initial client intake to gather pertinent case information. Manage office operations, including supplies, mail, vendor coordination, and processing invoices/bill payments. Draft and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence in state and municipal criminal cases. Organize and manage high volume discovery in complex cases. Coordinate and track discovery, including police reports, body-worn camera footage, expert reports, and witness statements. Maintain attorneys' calendars, including hearings, deadlines, depositions, and trial schedules. Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness lists, jury instructions, and trial notebooks. Communicate with courts, prosecutors, clients, and experts to ensure deadlines and case needs are met. Perform legal and factual research to support case development. Provide executive-level administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules, drafting correspondence, organizing files, and handling confidential materials.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably in criminal defense litigation. Strong knowledge of Colorado criminal court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage attorney calendars and competing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction, drafting, and correspondence. High attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Adobe, and Word. Ability to balance legal support with executive assistant-level administrative responsibilities. Professional, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
