To the trade wholesale and interior design firm seeking a well-qualified and self-motivated executive assistant reporting directly to the President of the Company, and supporting our sales, marketing and project management personnel. Recent knowledge of Quickbooks - Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Invoicing required. Prior training or experience working in the interior design or home furnishings fields is helpful.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the President of the Company, our other staff and independently to support the sales process. Research and prepare customer presentations and complex proposals/quotes. Review custom products including measurements, hardware, finish, types of materials, etc. Document and follow-up details of active jobs using Quickbooks. Communicate with vendors on pricing, product availability/lead times and shipping. Prepare purchase orders, follow-up with suppliers, track shipments. Prepare progress and final invoicing to clients.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma. Exceptional attitude, passion for design, professional comportment and maturity. Ability to work in a fast-pace environment with urgency and minimal supervision. Recent experience with and knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft Office suite required. Quickbooks Enterprise is helpful. Strong verbal, written and arithmetical skills. Detail oriented and able to multi-task. Driver's License, reliable transportation. Dependable work schedule on-site Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Physical Requirements:
Required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands and have the ability to reach overhead. Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques. Ability to maneuver effectively around showroom floor, warehouse and office. Position entails prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing, including stairs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus and ability to write, count, and read required company paperwork. Compensation and Benefits:
$25/hr and paid holidays/time off after probationary period of 30 days.
