JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective:
Provides general support to the company's Executive Office as an Administrator. Beyond basic office tasks such as typing, filing and communications, general support duties including arranging staff and board meetings that address strategic, conference or program development planning the position will also make business-related travel accommodations. Participates in project management duties assigned by executives. These duties include gathering data through an information system or from managers, supervisors and department chiefs within or outside an organization. This may include tracking and monitoring projects. Information and technology processes through updating internal websites and communications. This position requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and multiple other technologies as deemed appropriate
Duties and Responsibilities:
Position supports Executive Director Executive Director will assign liaison projects to Assistant to assist Board of Directors. General support to company and Board. Provide communication and scheduling support. Make and adjust travel arrangements, meetings and conferences. Project Management duties as assigned Strong written and verbal communication skills Above average technology skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice required. Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and Georgia Bright from the Start Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) Rules and Regulations. Self-motivated individual that works on multiple tasks simultaneously, with minimal supervision. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Windows 2000/XP, Internet research and email). Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills required. Must have the ability to work with individuals from different ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds. Must be able to provide instructional leadership and training in various education components relating to curriculum and education guidelines. Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with other agencies, parents, Head Start personnel and the general public. Must possess access to a vehicle, a valid drivers' license, good driving record and maintain adequate liability insurance and be willing to travel to Early Childhood Development Centers in all six counties (Bartow, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Paulding, and Polk).
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. AA Degree preferred 5 years administrative support at the C-Suite level Certificate in Project Management (preferred) Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite Have or attain Notary Public Certification within 90 days Possess a valid
GA Drivers' License Work Environment:
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely requires interactions with staff, clients and vendors. Requires use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to complete administrative duties to include reading, talking, sitting, walking, climbing steps and standing for blocks of time. Must be able to lift and move paperwork and files, up to 20 pounds. While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to walk, climb steps, sit, use hands to move objects/operate keyboards, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, speak and hear.
