The Executive Assistant serves as an entrusted colleague and extension of Executive Leadership, operating at the intersection of execution, prioritization, and judgment. This role requires a strong understanding of executive priorities, business context, and organizational dynamics, with the ability to anticipate needs, align work to outcomes, and proactively manage competing demands. This individual operates with exceptional professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment, particularly when handling sensitive information and navigating ambiguity. A highly organized and resourceful problem-solver, they maintain a holistic view of the executive's time and priorities, actively shaping the calendar to maximize impact and focusing attention on the highest-value work. The role also requires strong collaboration within a broader executive assistant network, ensuring alignment, seamless coordination, and the ability to appropriately engage, escalate, or create space for focused execution. Responsibilities Operate as a trusted partner to the executive, anticipating needs, managing competing priorities, and applying sound judgment in handling requests and information. Regularly evaluate and adjust the executive's schedule to align with shifting priorities and key business objectives. Take a proactive, forward-thinking approach to calendar management, travel planning, and meeting readiness. Recognize potential gaps or challenges and address them independently or escalate when appropriate. Distill key insights from meetings, communications, and ongoing priorities to keep the executive well-informed and prepared. Serve as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and strong judgment. Manage sensitive information with a high level of discretion and professionalism. Draft and enhance materials, communications, and presentations for senior leadership and board-level audiences. Collaborate with other executive assistants to ensure coordination across leadership schedules and initiatives. Provide seamless support for high-level meetings, executive discussions, and cross-functional efforts. Assist with special initiatives and projects, bringing a flexible and solutions-focused approach. Ideal Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience 8+ years supporting senior leaders, including C-level executives Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies a plus Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to distill and prioritize information Resourceful, quick-thinking problem solver who can navigate challenges in real time Highly detail-oriented with strong execution and follow-through Skilled at anticipating needs, managing competing priorities, and staying ahead of demands Professional presence with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-moving business environment Adaptable in the face of ambiguity and shifting priorities Maintains composure and effectiveness under pressure Self-directed while also collaborating closely within a team-oriented environment #118011 The Larko Group is a women-owned, premier staffing and recruiting firm based in Chicago with a nationwide reach.
