$25-$30/hour, commensurate with experience, with expectation of annual increases. Position Summary Spark Newton is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support the day-to-day work of our growing nonprofit arts and culture organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will provide administrative support for Spark Newton's communications, community outreach, donor relations, and program coordination efforts . The Executive Assistant will help manage the many details that keep the organization moving, support the Executive Director's work across a range of projects and priorities, and help make the day-to-day workload more manageable. This is a varied role with responsibilities that shift throughout the year based on seasonal programming, organizational priorities, and current projects. Executive & Administrative Support Provide day-to-day administrative and organizational support to the Executive Director, including preparing documents, correspondence, reports, meeting materials, and other organizational resources. Support the Executive Director's work across Spark Newton's programs, events, communications, community outreach, and donor relations. Help maintain calendars, deadlines, contact lists, shared files, databases, and other organizational systems. Distribute approved communications, including newsletters, website updates, social media posts, and other outreach materials, at the direction of the Executive Director. Support program, event, partnership, sponsorship, and donor-related projects through research, coordination, correspondence, follow-up, and other administrative tasks. Assist with special projects and other organizational needs as they arise.
Qualifications:
Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with an interest in arts, culture, and community programming. Advanced working knowledge of Google Workspace. Experience with Canva or other basic design tools. Comfort learning and working across multiple digital systems and platforms, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and workflows.
Preferred:
Experience in nonprofit administration, donor relations, and community-based event organization. Familiarity with Mailchimp, WordPress, and the various social media platforms. Comfortability with donor databases
