Job Description
Job Summary The Town of Gilford is currently accepting resumes for the full-time position of Executive Assistant to the Town Administrator/Board of Selectmen. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, progressive-thinking individual, with experience in municipal government. The Town of Gilford offers a highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package with a salary range of $52,663.07-$85,266.47 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Job Duties/Experience The Executive Assistant position requires more than traditional clerical or administrative experience. The successful candidate will have strong municipal government experience and knowledge, with an understanding of municipal government operations, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities will include attending Board of Selectmen and other municipal government meetings as required. Preparing accurate meeting minutes, assisting with agendas and correspondence, maintaining official records, researching municipal matters, coordinating follow-up on Board actions and assisting the Town Administrator with various administrative and operational responsibilities. The Executive Assistant also acts as the municipality's Benefits Administrator, assisting with the onboarding of new employees, while maintaining the daily administrative tasks required by the office of the Town Administrator. ( High School Diploma/GED required, College Degree preferred). Applicants must not have a criminal history that would prevent them from safely, responsibly, and effectively performing the essential functions of the position.
