Job description Legal Secretary / Administrative Assistant Real Estate Firm seeking a Secretary to provide administrative assistance. Responsibilities include creating, revising and formatting documents, spreadsheets and presentations, document comparison and proofreading. Answering phones, managing calendars, maintaining contacts, and greeting clients. Must have the ability to work 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Advanced proficiency in MS Word. Knowledge in Adobe, PowerPoint and Excel helpful. Must have high school diploma. This position requires a professional, highly motivated, organized self-starter capable of functioning in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operates a computer and proficient in Microsoft Office. Types from dictation. Reads, sorts and dates incoming mail. Ensures that outgoing mail is timely delivered. Opens new files, requests conflict of interest checks, and maintains all general files. Conducts periodic review for possible storage of older files; prepares files to be closed. Receives clients and visitors; maintains good public relations with clients. Additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time by supervisor. Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of the job.
