Job Description

Espanola Pathways Shelter (EPS) is the only low barrier homeless shelter in Espanola that offers seasonal overnight services, case management, and essential services. We also work closely with many organizations and community partners throughout Northern New Mexico. We prevent homelessness and provide our homeless community with access to viable pathways toward a more productive life. We are not here to judge; we are here to serve. We serve with kindness and respect. Our main goal is to provide a safe place to sleep and have access to meals and services. We are seeking a highly organized, mission-driven Executive Assistant to support our Executive Director and strengthen internal operations. Key Responsibilities Assist with coordinating Executive Director's meetings, and communications Track and organize receipts in compliance with grant requirements (audit-ready documentation) Assist with grant reporting and funding documentation Update and maintain organizational policies & procedures Coordinate and track staff training schedules and compliance Maintain organized filing systems (digital & physical) Support audits, reporting, and special projects Qualifications 2+ years executive support experience Strong organizational and documentation skills Experience with grants, compliance, or audits preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace Ability to handle confidential information Nonprofit or human services experience a plus Ability to maintain clear personal and professional boundaries Able to follow detailed directions Experience working with a diverse population, with sensitivity to differences in culture, religion, sexual orientation, race, age, and physical disabilities and illnesses, and mental health challenges Demonstrate ability to respond responsibly and calmly to emergency and crisis situations Ability to communicate effectively Ability to spontaneously flex your communication style to genuinely approach and accommodate shelter guests, staff, community leaders, etc. At least 1 year sobriety and commitment to being clean and sober while working at EPS Willingness to participate in random drug testing Why This Role Matters This position plays a key role in keeping our organization compliant, organized, and running efficiently—directly supporting services for individuals experiencing homelessness.

CPSW, CCSS, CHW
certifications preferred but not required The work location is at 628 N. Riverside Drive, Espanola, NM 87532. English/Spanish speaker preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Pay:
