Job Description
We are a busy professional family seeking a dependable, highly organized Family Executive Assistant / Household Manager to help keep our home and family life running smoothly. This is not a nanny position . Our children are in middle school and are mostly independent. The only regular childcare-related responsibilities are picking them up from school at 2:30 three to four days a week, making sure they're settled at home, encouraging them to get started on homework, and ensuring everything is running smoothly until we arrive home. This individual can even leave before we arrive home. The primary focus of this role is serving as a trusted personal assistant and household manager—someone who enjoys organizing, solving problems, managing details, and taking ownership of the countless tasks that keep a busy household operating efficiently. If you're the type of person who loves making lists, checking things off, staying one step ahead, and creating order from chaos, we'd love to meet you. Responsibilities Pick up our middle school-aged children from school up to four afternoons per week Ensure they're settled at home and getting started on homework Manage family calendars, appointments, and scheduling Coordinate home maintenance, repairs, and service appointments Run local errands, returns, and occasional shopping Grocery shopping or grocery pickup Laundry (wash, fold, and put away) Light tidying and organization (not deep cleaning) Keep household supplies stocked Organize paperwork and important household documents Research products, services, and vendors as needed Help coordinate vacations, family events, and special occasions Track household projects and follow through until completed Anticipate needs and proactively help keep everything organized and running smoothly Assist with miscellaneous household and personal tasks as they arise Let out the dog as need be when needed The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: Is exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Is proactive and takes initiative without constant direction Is dependable, trustworthy, and professional Enjoys solving problems and keeping things organized Has excellent communication skills Is comfortable juggling multiple priorities Has reliable transportation and a clean driving record Enjoys helping busy families stay on top of life's details Former executive assistants, office managers, teachers, administrative professionals, or experienced household managers are encouraged to apply.
