JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced, dependable and organized Construction Estimator, Sales Consultant & Executive Assistant to support an entrepreneur managing three active companies. This position combines residential construction estimating, in-home sales, customer service, administrative support, project coordination, social media and market research. The ideal candidate understands residential construction, communicates professionally with homeowners, prepares accurate proposals and confidently follows sales opportunities through closing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel to scheduled residential estimates throughout Long Island. Meet with homeowners to discuss their projects, concerns, budgets and timelines. Inspect job conditions and determine the appropriate scope of work. Take accurate measurements, photographs, videos and detailed project notes. Recommend suitable materials, equipment and project solutions. Prepare clear, accurate and professional estimates and proposals. Explain project scope, pricing, materials, options and work procedures. Present proposals confidently and ask for the sale. Follow up consistently on estimates and sales leads until a decision is made. Address customer questions, pricing concerns and objections professionally. Negotiate within approved company pricing guidelines. Coordinate sold projects with office staff, technicians, vendors and management. Ensure sold projects include complete scopes, measurements, photographs and customer expectations. Identify additional services and project opportunities when appropriate. Answer incoming customer calls, emails and text messages professionally. Schedule appointments and coordinate customers, technicians and vendors. Process credit-card payments and provide payment confirmations or receipts. Maintain accurate customer records, estimates, follow-up notes and sales activity. Make occasional cold calls to prospective and previous customers. Assist with lead generation, referral development and customer outreach. Visit job sites to record photographs and short marketing videos. Business and personal errands Edit photographs and videos for company marketing using AI and real. Create and publish basic social-media posts. Monitor social-media messages, comments and customer inquiries. Research competitors, pricing, materials, industry trends and new business opportunities. Prepare brief market-research summaries and recommendations for the owner. Assist with emails, documents, scheduling and daily administrative duties. Handle special projects and operational assignments on behalf of the owner. Maintain professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum three years of residential construction or home-services experience required; five years preferred. Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, estimating and project scopes. Construction sales, estimating, project sales or in-home sales experience strongly preferred. Strong sales ability and confidence asking for and closing the sale. Excellent communication, presentation and customer-service skills. Ability to explain technical construction information clearly to homeowners. Comfortable discussing project costs and handling pricing objections. Ability to prepare detailed, accurate and professional written proposals. Strong organization, time-management, research and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates, projects and sales opportunities. Comfortable making outbound and cold calls. Basic social-media, photography and video-editing skills. Proficiency with CRM software, email, text messaging, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Ability to work independently without constant supervision. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to travel throughout Long Island as needed. Professional appearance and demeanor. Successful background check required. HVAC, plumbing, construction, sales or marketing experience is a plus.
Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
