Job Description
Part-Time Executive Assistant — 4-Week Move Sprint (AI-Forward) Muse Storytelling, Inc Kettering, OH Job Details Part-time | Contract $30 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Contract management Operations management Executive administrative support Research AI-driven automation ChatGPT Generative AI Full Job Description There is blue painter's tape on thirty-five light switches in this house. We put it there so that whoever finally came to fix them wouldn't need us to explain anything. They could just walk the rooms and see. Seven have been repaired. The contractor said he needed a few more parts, and then we never heard from him again. That is roughly the state of everything here. Three weeks ago we moved our family to Kettering — one of us from Portland, one from Chicago with the kids. A washing machine flooded the basement on a Sunday and the rugs are still wet. There is a wasp nest on the deck railing I keep meaning to deal with. My entire life is in a shipping container that arrives on the fourteenth. We don't know a soul here. None of it is a crisis. All of it is a Tuesday. We are both working full time straight through it, and the list is not getting shorter on its own. So we are hiring one very capable person for four weeks to get this household actually running. What you'd own Utilities, accounts, and the mountain of setup a new house in a new state generates. Finding, vetting and coordinating a housekeeper and two or three sitters — who you would manage, not us. Researching after-school programs for both kids, packaging the options so we can talk it through as a family, then handling the enrolment and the transport. Being the layer between this household and two desks, so that things get solved before they reach us. And building systems that outlast the four weeks. The thing that actually matters We don't want to hand you a list. We want to hand you an outcome. "Handle school supplies" beats "go to Target and buy these fourteen things." If you're asking us Target or Walmart, this isn't the fit. Decide, do it, tell us what you did, and we'll adjust. We both take calls that need our full attention. The person who thrives here saves up seven questions, gets fifteen focused minutes, and leaves with everything they need for two days. The person who struggles walks into a room. One non-negotiable You have to be genuinely good with AI. We build AI products for a living and we want somebody who already uses Claude or ChatGPT to do their real work — drafting, researching, comparing options, building a tracker. Somebody fluent will get three times as much done here as somebody with a longer résumé who isn't. If you're not there yet but you learn fast, tell us that. Who tends to be great at this: people who've run operations, managed a household, coordinated events, or been somebody's chief of staff. People who just relocated themselves and remember exactly how much it takes. People between roles who want a real project. You are unbothered by a to-do list with no obvious starting point. You write things down. You close loops without being asked twice. Four weeks, part-time, $30/hr, starting as soon as you can. In person in Kettering, some flexibility on hours. There's a real path to something longer depending on how the rest of our plan lands, and we'd rather say that up front than pretend it's a hard stop.
HOW TO APPLY
Answer these three in your application. We won't consider one without all three. You have $2,400 a month for household help. A housekeeper costs $27 an hour for 6 hours a week. A sitter costs $32 an hour. Working on 4.3 weeks in a month, roughly how many sitter hours a month can you afford? Look me up. Patrick Moreau. Tell me one specific thing about my work that isn't on my company's homepage, and why it caught your attention. It's your first week. Forty open items, two parents who can't be interrupted mid-call, and no context on any of it. What are the first three things you do, and why in that order? Short answers are fine.
