Job Description

Family Law Legal Assistant / Case Manager Georgia | Remote Sekle Law Firm is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Family Law Legal Assistant/Case Manager to join our growing practice. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment, enjoys helping keep systems organized, and understands the importance of reliability, communication, and follow-through in family law cases. Our firm handles family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, legitimation, modifications, contempt actions, and high-conflict litigation. We pride ourselves on strong client advocacy, professionalism, compassion, and maintaining high standards for client service and case management. The owner of the firm is a hands-on litigation attorney who is highly strategic, driven, and client-focused. We are looking for someone who can help create structure and operational support behind the scenes so the attorney can focus on hearings, trials, strategy, and substantive legal work. The ideal candidate understands urgency, takes initiative, communicates clearly, and does not need constant reminders to complete tasks. Organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail are extremely important in this role. Responsibilities
  • Manage attorney calendar, hearings, mediations, deadlines, and scheduling
  • E-file legal documents in Georgia courts
  • Draft basic legal documents and correspondence, including:
  • Entries of Appearance
  • Leaves of Absence
  • Retainer Agreements
  • Standard firm correspondence
  • Client letters/emails
  • Maintain organized digital and physical case files
  • Upload and organize documents in case management software
  • Communicate with clients regarding scheduling, missing documents, and case updates
  • Organize discovery and exhibits
  • Assist with trial and hearing preparation
  • Monitor email communications and court notices
  • Ensure deadlines and tasks are completed timely Qualifications
  • Prior family law experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor with clients and opposing counsel
  • Experience with e-filing and case management systems preferred
