Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to support document management activities for a healthcare organization in Reseda, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who works accurately with both paper and electronic records and can help maintain an organized, accessible filing environment. The person in this role will contribute to daily administrative operations by handling high volumes of files, supporting scanning workflows, and ensuring documents are stored correctly and retrieved efficiently.
Responsibilities:
  • Organize, sort, and maintain paper records so files are easy to locate and kept in proper order.
  • Scan incoming and archived documents into electronic systems while checking image quality and completeness.
  • Perform electronic filing tasks to place digital records in the correct folders, categories, or databases.
  • Retrieve requested files promptly for team members and return records to their designated locations after use.
  • Review documents for labeling accuracy and ensure materials are filed according to established procedures.
  • Prepare physical records for storage, scanning, or distribution by removing staples, arranging pages, and confirming document sets are complete.
  • Support routine records maintenance by identifying misplaced, duplicate, or outdated files and escalating issues when needed.
  • Follow confidentiality and document-handling standards appropriate for healthcare-related information.
