We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable File Clerk to join our administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, thrives in a fast-paced office environment, and is interested in gaining valuable experience in the legal field. As a File Clerk, you will handle data entry, maintain filing systems, and assist with various clerical tasks that keep our organization running efficiently. We value energetic, detail-oriented professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to our team's success. This is an in-person position. Responsibilities Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic client files Scanning, uploading, and indexing documents into our document management system Retrieving and filing records for attorneys and staff Preparing new client files and archiving closed matters Assisting with mail processing, document copying, printing, and file assembly Ensuring records are complete, accurate, and organized Supporting attorneys and staff with administrative projects as needed Maintaining the confidentiality of client and firm information at all times Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Prior office or administrative experience is strongly preferred Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Adobe Pro, and Mac OS Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly Accurate typing, proofreading, and data entry skills Excellent communication and customer service skills over the phone Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism Experience answering calls from clients on multi-line phone systems is preferred Previous experience in a law office is a plus, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry files or boxes up to 25 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, scanners, and printers Benefits 401(k) with matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance Paid time off IIf you're organized, dependable, and ready to learn in a fast-paced office environment, we'd love to hear from you.
