Job Description
Description We are looking for a dependable Part Time Admin Clerk to join a small service-focused office in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, handles sensitive information with discretion, and enjoys supporting both administrative and legal workflows. In this role, you will help keep records organized, documentation current, and daily office processes moving efficiently in a regulated business environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail by sorting materials, preparing correspondence, and ensuring items are routed correctly.
- Scan and organize paper records, including adjusting document orientation, separating files, and preparing them for digital storage.
- Enter information into internal systems with a high level of accuracy and assist with the manual setup of new account records.
- Review written materials carefully to catch errors and confirm documents meet internal quality and compliance expectations.
- Provide administrative support for legal paperwork by helping prepare, process, and file time-sensitive documentation.
- Maintain spreadsheets by updating entries, correcting information, and keeping records organized for team use.
- Perform routine office support tasks such as filing, record organization, and general document management.
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally after training, ensuring inquiries reach the appropriate team member.
- Protect confidential information at all times when handling documentation tied to legal and financial matters. Requirements
- Demonstrated accuracy, strong organizational ability, and close attention to detail in an office setting.
- Working knowledge of core administrative tasks such as mail handling, alphabetical filing, and keyboarding with a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.
- Experience with 10-key entry and comfort performing basic arithmetic as part of daily processing tasks.
- Familiarity with word processing programs such as Microsoft Word or WordPerfect, with the ability to learn specialized software on the job.
- Ability to stay productive while completing repetitive assignments, meeting daily output expectations, and working within firm deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including courteous phone etiquette.
- Comfort working in a quiet, small-team environment and contributing with a positive, adaptable attitude.
