Summary We are seeking a part time Medical File Clerk to join our team at Florida Retina Institute . This role is vital in managing patient records and supporting our commitment to exceptional retinal healthcare. The position is based in our office, where your expertise will contribute to accurate documentation and seamless patient care. Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) for all patients. Ensure confidentiality and security of medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Assist medical staff by retrieving and organizing patient information. Update patient records with new information following consultations or procedures. Support billing processes by providing necessary documentation. Prep medical chart for assigned clinics Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure record accuracy. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology relevant to ophthalmology. Contribute to the continuous improvement of record-keeping processes. Utilizes patient chart on an as needed basis, accessing only information related to treatment, payment, and health operations Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. Proficiency with EHR systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred:
