$18.55 / hour Description TeleSolv Consulting is seeking a detail?oriented General Clerk to support government operations and high?volume documentation workflows in our Newark office. This role will support the federal government and all applicant MUST be local to the Newark, NJ area. The General Clerk provides essential administrative and clerical support to a Government Field Office, ensuring daily operations run with accuracy, efficiency, and integrity. This full?time role involves organizing and managing case files, supporting document processing workflows, and assisting with activities related to naturalization ceremonies-all of which play a key role in supporting the Government's immigration mission.
Responsibilities:
Retrieve, bundle, and prepare Government?requested files for authorized personnel. Re?shelve, file, and organize returned documents to maintain accurate and efficient storage systems. Review incoming correspondence and match it with the appropriate case files. Support naturalization ceremonies by printing and distributing certificates and collecting required documentation from applicants. Assist during ceremonies by escorting applicants and collecting/logging green cards. Support the processing of forms and applications used in adjudication workflows. Scan large multi?page documents quickly and accurately. Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Active Tier 3 Public Trust, or the ability to obtain and maintain one. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance through the Government. Ability to lift and carry 45 lbs. or more. Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and stooping. Prior experience in clerical, filing, records management, or general administrative support. Experience working in Government operations or high?volume documentation environments. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to read and understand English proficiently. Capacity to perform physically active tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching. Comfortable handling sensitive information in a fast?paced, process?driven environment.

Background Investigation:
This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
