July 2026 JOB SUMMARY Freres Engineered Wood is offering a Summer Internship position at our Mass Ply Panel plant 6. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with industrial wood manufacturing equipment and other related processes. This position will focus on participating in all aspects of Mass Ply Panel production, including but not limited to reviewing blueprints and drawings; identifying the MPP; working with MiTek and developing models; prepping the files for quoting and inputting the data into the CRM; and other supporting tasks. Depending on skills and knowledge exhibited, there may be opportunities for additional work within the Sales, Engineering and Production teams for enhanced learning and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Learn and assist in reading technical drawings for MPP Learn and assist in working with MiTek and preparing and creating models Assist the sales engineering, project manager and sales team when needed Learn about MPP production, its uses and capabilities and look for efficiency improvements if possible. Input data into multiple software systems Be able to generate reports from these software systems Inventory materials, label items, perform data entry, and assist with organization tasks. May gain additional work experience based on skills and needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting Must be able to work in an office environment, while also being able to navigate each plant and/or department facilities and may be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold and hot temperatures and vapors Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Balancing, Stooping, Reaching May require a combination of sitting, standing and walking, some for longer periods Ability to work in various environments, including dusty and noisy areas

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic computer skills required. Valid driver's license preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to work well in a team and follow safety protocols. Willingness to learn different skills and apply them in various contexts.
