Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to support a short-term Contract assignment in Houston, Texas. This position will assist the training team with organizing, sorting, and refiling physical records after materials were relocated to a nearby building. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling paper documents, follows filing systems accurately, and can complete repetitive tasks with care.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and refile paper records to restore an orderly and accessible filing system
- Sort documents alphabetically and place materials in the correct folders, drawers, or file boxes
- Review files for proper labeling and ensure records are returned to their designated locations
- Support document handling tasks such as preparing papers for scanning and electronic storage
- Scan hard-copy materials as needed to help maintain accurate digital records
- Move and arrange filing materials between storage areas within the training department
- Maintain a neat workspace while handling confidential or sensitive records with discretion
