The Reading Foundation is a private clinic, located in Westwood, near the 405 and UCLA. We specialize in the assessment and treatment of learning difficulties through intensive remediation. Our research-based programs address not only reading, but also spelling, writing, comprehension, and math. The services that we provide are more akin to educational therapy than traditional tutoring. The Reading Foundation has a diverse client base, ranging in age and ability. More information about us is available at www.readingfoundation.com. We are seeking dedicated, conscientious, flexible individuals who thrive in a fast-paced working environment. Clinicians are responsible for:
Instructing students one-to-one in all remediation programs Carefully following student's individual programs Communicating observations about students Contributing to an empowering and collegial environment We are currently seeking qualified applicants to join our team starting in September 2026 .
Please note that:
a)Training for this position is a full-time, paid commitment beginning September 8, 2026, and b) This position will be part-time following the training, but has the possibility of more hours if scheduling permits. This will be an incredible opportunity to be an integral part of our teaching team.
Required Availability:
September 8-25 2026: Full-time availability is required for training. Starting late September (ongoing): Availability must fall within our operating hours: Monday to
Friday:
8:00 am
  • 6:30 pm;
Saturday:
8:00 am
  • 4:30 pm Minimum required schedule: Monday to
Friday:
4:30 pm
  • 6:30 pm
AND Saturday:
8:00 am
  • 4:30 pm
  • Additional availability beyond these minimum hours is welcomed, depending on scheduling needs.
  • Minimum 1-year commitment.
Successful candidates will have:
The ability to establish rapport quickly, and with people of all ages A patient manner and compassionate nature The ability to adapt their teaching style to the needs of the student A background in psychology, some education streams (including EA), linguistics, English, sociology, or cognitive science is an asset but not a requirement. Post-secondary students are welcome to apply. These positions require internal training.
