Job Description

Role Overview :
We are seeking for multiple detail-oriented and self-motivated Court Researchers based in San Diego county to conduct in-person research at local courthouses. This role involves gathering specific legal documents, records, and data from court dockets. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating court systems, following legal protocols, and working independently to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct thorough research and retrieval of court records from various courthouses in the Santa Clara area. Review, collect, and organize data from public access terminals and case files. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information collected. Communicate findings in a clear and timely manner to the research team or project manager. Follow established protocols to obtain and handle confidential information securely. Maintain detailed records of research activities and document sources. Manage and prioritize multiple research assignments efficiently.
Requirements :
Prior experience in court research, legal research, paralegal work, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with the structure and operation of Stanislaus County courts. Ability to visit courthouses in person and navigate their records systems. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable transportation to travel to various courthouses as needed. Proficient in using digital tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets) to record and report data.
