Job Summary Join us as a Baltimore Witness Protective Order Fall 2026 Internship and immerse yourself in the vital world of legal protection and advocacy. This paid internship offers a dynamic opportunity to gain hands-on experience gathering information on the protective order legal process. You will work closely with domestic violence and intimate partner violence professionals, assisting with case tracking, legal research, and administrative tasks that contribute to safeguarding survivors and ensuring justice. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their legal knowledge in a fast-paced, impactful environment.
Duties:
Assist with collecting information related to protective orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal terminology. Conduct thorough research Proofread and edit notes, correspondence, and filings to maintain high standards of clarity and professionalism. Uphold confidentiality standards while handling sensitive information related to protective order cases.
Experience:
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately. Attention to detail Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment. Strong research and data gathering skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a capacity to summarize complex information clearly Basic understanding of or interest in the criminal justice system and judicial process. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly
Eligibility:
Current undergraduate enrollment in a related field (Criminal Justice, Journalism, Sociology or Political Science) is a plus Post graduates may also apply. Ability to work collaboratively and conduct work on-site in Baltimore, MD This internship offers a valuable opportunity to learn about the judicial process regarding protective orders and get insight on how to help the local community.
Pay:
$25.00 - $50.00 per week
