Job Description

Nepenthe Laboratory services opened in 2013 to meet the need for quality toxicology services in the Pacific Northwest. The lab has continued to grow and evolve serving the changing needs of our customers here at home and with our expanded platform across the country as well. Nepenthe Laboratory Services is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Collector to join our growing team. Responsible for tasks associated with processing of specimens (urine and saliva collection) including observed same-gender collection, documenting and shipping.
HOURS:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday- 12:00pm-6:00PM/ Friday 11:00AM-5:00PM Essential Functions for a
Specimen Collector:
Complete necessary documentation accurately and legibly Maintain professional boundaries while interacting with clients Abide by HIPAA regulations Take urine samples, ensure there are two identifiers per sample Conduct urinalysis process and procedures Make sure demographic and dx codes are correct, and requisition form is complete before sending sample to the lab Look up missing information regarding patient billing, and send to appropriate billing personnel Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills): High School Diploma or equivalent Prior Medical Experience preferred Customer Service Experience preferred Basic Computer skills Good interpersonal skills Excellent Customer Relationship skills Excellent oral/written communication skills Reliable Transportation EEO Statement This organization does not discriminate in any way to deprive any person of employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affect the status of any employee because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, citizenship, veteran status, or military or uniformed services, in accordance with all applicable governmental laws and regulations.
