$25.00-$40.00 per hour (based on experience) About the Role Express Employment Professionals - Timonium is recruiting experienced Qualitative Research Interviewers to support a Baltimore-area disparity study. In this role, you will conduct structured, in-depth interviews — primarily via Zoom, with occasional in-person interviews — with business owners, trade association representatives, business assistance representatives, and other stakeholders in the local marketplace. This is a project-based contract opportunity with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one, in-depth interviews with business owners and other stakeholders, primarily via Zoom Follow a structured interview guide while allowing space for open-ended, qualitative responses Accurately document and summarize interview findings and themes Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when engaging with business owners and community stakeholders Coordinate scheduling and availability with the project team Submit completed interview notes/transcripts according to project timelines Qualifications Prior experience conducting qualitative research interviews, focus groups, or similar stakeholder engagement (required) Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly with business professionals Comfortable conducting interviews via Zoom/video conferencing Strong writing and note-taking/summarization skills Reliable internet access and a professional, quiet setting for virtual interviews Availability for a flexible schedule during the project period Prior experience with disparity studies, market research, or public-sector/government-related studies a plus Familiarity with local government contracting, procurement processes, or MBE/WBE certification programs a plus Existing relationships or credibility within the local business, contracting, or trade association community a plus Bachelor's degree in a related field (Social Science, Public Policy, Communications, Market Research, or similar) preferred but not required with equivalent experience
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
