If you are detail oriented, a self-starter, with strong organizational skills and willing to work as a team player while making a difference in children's lives, we have a spot for you. The Forensic Interview position involves work with sensitive information about child abuse victims and partner agency personnel at supervisory and front-line levels.

Employment dependent upon the successful completion of a background check, including criminal and DFPS clearances. Responsibilities and Duties Provides victim advocacy and victim assistance to children and families. Conducts forensic interviews of child victims of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, and neglect in English and Spanish. Assists with Crime Victims Compensation and other CAC activities. Testifies in court regarding Forensic Interviews, as needed. Adheres to confidentiality policy. Maintains cross-cultural awareness in the performance of all responsibilities. Maintains positive working relationships with DFPS, Police Departments, Sheriff's Offices, and District Attorney's Offices, and all other partner agencies. Participates in on call rotation for afterhours interviews. Attends CACTX required trainings and webinars in addition to FI Peer Reviews. Works in a professional manner consistent with the mission, contractual agreements with funding sources, Board approved policies and procedures, and directives from the Assistant Director and Executive Director. All other responsibilities and duties as from time to time designated by the CAC or added to the scope of responsibility for this position by the Executive Director. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree (minimum) earned from an accredited university with prior work experience in the field of child abuse preferred. Must be able to speak English and Spanish (preferred). Understanding/knowledge of child abuse issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be self-motivated, self-confident, and maintain high moral and ethical standards. Ability to represent the organization in a positive and professional manner. Ability to prepare reports and meet deadlines. Ability to function collaboratively within a team environment.
