Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, format, and submit legal documents through electronic filing systems while ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Maintain attorney calendars by coordinating hearings, filings, meetings, and other case-related commitments with close attention to scheduling changes.
- Draft, revise, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, and other legal materials from dictation, notes, and attorney direction.
- Monitor litigation timelines and track important dates to help keep civil and defense matters progressing efficiently.
- Organize case files, records, and supporting documentation so information is accurate, accessible, and up to date.
- Communicate with courts, clients, and outside counsel regarding filings, scheduling, and document coordination as needed.
- Review documents for completeness, formatting, and procedural accuracy before submission or distribution.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to attorneys handling civil litigation matters.
- Assist with managing document flow, follow-up items, and general office support related to active defense litigation cases.
