Full-time Description Opening for a full-time Legal Secretary. We are an established and reputable law firm with 14 offices throughout the state. Mullen & Filippi provides legal services to California employers on issues arising from workplace injuries and other employment related concerns. We offer a friendly and supportive work environment. PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Format and proofread transcription that has been digitally transcribed and edit legal documents for correct grammar and punctuation. Schedule and coordinate depositions, medical examinations and other court designated hearings. Act as a liaison between client and attorney by furnishing and requesting information as needed to assist in completion of administrative reports as required by client or assigned by office management. Draft routine correspondence. Assist attorney with trial preparation, including preparation of trial exhibits. Requirements 1-3 years of legal secretary workers' compensation defense experience and EAMS filing required Have a personable and friendly character Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word. Tech savvy with the ability to learn and become proficient in using case management software. Able to identify urgency and prioritize tasks accordingly This has the opportunity of becoming a hybrid position Position requires sitting for up to 6 hours per day while keyboarding and physical activity including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, repetitive motions and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
