This is a hands-on role supporting one attorney in a small, established team. If you don't have real litigation experience from filing through post-judgment, this isn't the role.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$54,000 annually (no overtime) 401(k): With limited employer matching

Monday-Thursday:
8:30 AM - 5:00
PM Friday:
8:30 AM - 3:00 PM Key Responsibilities Draft, format, and file legal documents (complaints, motions, related pleadings) Manage law and motion deadlines, including strict calendaring requirements Prepare and handle legal forms and filings in California courts Conduct legal research using Lexis Assist with discovery and discovery-related motions Requirements (Non-Negotiable) Minimum 5 years of California civil litigation experience Experience handling matters from case inception through post-judgment Strong understanding of law and motion procedures and deadlines Proficient in: Microsoft Word WordPerfect Legal Solutions Lexis Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines without supervision Work Environment Small legal department (3 staff + attorney) Reports directly to in-house counsel and GM Stable team, most employees have been with the company 15+ years Low-drama, no-pressure office, but expectations around accuracy and deadlines are real.
