The primary purpose of this position is to support our attorneys in all stages of the litigation process
Client Communication:
Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their cases and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Follow up with clients on necessary paperwork and signatures.
Civil Litigation:
Draft a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests and responses for attorney review. Manage the discovery process by organizing and analyzing documents produced by opposing counsel and preparing summaries of depositions.
Trust & Estate Litigation:
Draft, review, summarize and proofread pleadings, correspondence, fiduciary reports, and petitions. Discovery - Draft discovery including special interrogatories, request for admissions, request for production, subpoenas, deposition notices.
Court Filings and Procedures:
Prepare and file court documents, maintain case calendars, schedule hearings, and assist with courtroom procedures. Help manage and organize legal files. Update and maintain databases and tracking systems. Ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Litigation Secretary Paralegal certificate required Familiarity with legal documents and terminology Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, and Adobe. Clio experience is a plus. Strong writing and communication skills Systematic and able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines Self-starter and ability to work independently Able to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor and ability to translate that demeanor when speaking with clients and other parties/offices. Assessment tests will be given to test general litigation and administrative knowledge
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
