Job Description
We are looking for a detail-focused Legal Secretary to support a transactional law practice. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is well suited for someone who has prior experience in a legal office, enjoys working in a small office setting, and can contribute quickly to daily administrative and billing activities. The position offers a consistent onsite schedule and the chance to become a long-term member of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Handle attorney time entry and invoicing through TimeSlips to ensure accurate client billing
- Manage bookkeeping activities in QuickBooks, including routine financial record maintenance
- Draft, revise, and finalize legal correspondence and transactional documents using Microsoft Word
- Organize, maintain, and update client files through both paper filing and general records management
- Coordinate calendars, track important dates, and support day-to-day office scheduling needs
- Provide administrative assistance that keeps the office running efficiently
- Assist with e-filing and other legal secretarial tasks that support an active transactional practice
