Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support a busy trusts and estates practice in Florida. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can manage legal administrative work with accuracy, discretion, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will help keep probate and estate matters moving forward by coordinating filings, preparing documents, and maintaining schedules in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents related to wills, trusts, probate, and estate administration matters.
- Coordinate court and agency submissions, including electronic filing, while ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
- Maintain attorney calendars, arrange meetings, and track important dates for hearings, filings, and client matters.
- Support probate and estate administration workflows by organizing files, monitoring case progress, and following up on outstanding items.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties in a clear and respectful manner to gather information and facilitate case activity.
- Assist with execution logistics for legal documents, including coordinating witnesses and related signing requirements.
- Review correspondence and legal paperwork for completeness, formatting, and consistency before distribution or filing.
