Job Description

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has an opening for a Legal Secretary. We are looking for someone who can provide administrative support to General Counsel of the Sheriff's Office. The ideal candidate should have previous legal experience and strong administrative skills. This position interacts with senior management and strong communication skills are a must. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to take the initiative are required.
Key duties include:
Transcribes legal documents, letters, and memos Preparation and organization of litigation files Conducts research of official records, court files, and other documents Updates case files and litigation reports
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 5 years' administrative experience required. Legal secretarial and court experience highly preferred. Annual pay range is $61,523 to $98,450
