Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our legal team with 5 to 10 years experience. This would be working for a Civil litigation law firm. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and possess a strong foundation in legal research, document management, and E-filing with using Odyssey and Peach Court. And the knowledge of Pacer. This paid position is perfect for someone eager to grow their legal support experience. Duties Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence. Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis, and other resources to support case development across various practice areas like civil litigation law. Assist attorneys with case management tasks including filing documents with courts, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines to ensure compliance with procedural laws. Manage client communication professionally via phone and email while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Support litigation activities through document review, discovery processes, and preparing trial exhibits. Perform administrative functions such as data entry, organizing files, and handling incoming correspondence efficiently. Utilize legal software like LexisNexis for research purposes; maintain proficiency in legal writing and drafting of legal documents. Provide executive administrative support by coordinating meetings, such as depositions, mediations, preparing documents for the attorney. Skills Extensive knowledge of Real Estate civil litigation . Proven experience with legal case management systems such as keeping up with deadlines, keeping up with the office case calendar and processing mail. Strong research skills using LexisNexis; ability to synthesize complex legal information clearly and accurately. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint). Exceptional written communication skills (sometimes a mind reader) for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy. Effective client communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette; capable of interviewing clients. Experience supporting civil litigation cases from inception through trial preparation. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high standards of professionalism in all interactions. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
