Job Description
Responsibilities include:
Assist with preparing, revising, and formatting legal documents and correspondences. Filing documents in various courts (circuit, district, land court, etc.). Calendaring and reminding attorneys of events and deadlines. Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files utilizing document management system. Performing various accounting and administrative tasks (e.g., entering timesheets, following up on client billing matters, scheduling appointments, processing mail, etc.) Communicating with clients and others by phone and email.Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience:
Minimum two (2) years experience in civil litigation support or prior legal secretary experience.Skills:
Strong organization skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines. Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documents and correspondence. Computer literate- MS Word
- Intermediate to Advanced skills; Outlook
- Intermediate to Advanced skills; Excel
- Basic to Intermediate skills. Willing to learn new applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional client interactions. Strong administrative and clerical skills to provide comprehensive support to attorneys. Dependable with strong work ethic. Able to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred but not required:
knowledge of CMS Aderant, NetDocuments, or other document management programs, experience in PowerPoint.
