Job Description

Hoines Law Office, P.C. is seeking a self-motivated legal secretary to join our team. As the legal secretary, you would provide support to our three attorneys here in the office. Job duties would include answering phone calls, maintaining the office calendar, scanning documents, communicating with clients, filing, and helping draft emails and documents. In this position, you would be expected to work from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Fridays with a one-hour (unpaid) lunch break. However, if a candidate wanted to work a full 40 hours per week, we can accommodate that as well. A high school education or equivalent is required. Candidates must either be a notary public or be willing to become one. Candidates must be well-organized and have strong attention to detail. Experience in a law firm or other legal setting is preferred, but it is not required. If you are a quick learner and self-motivated, then you can succeed in this position regardless of prior experience. This position pays $22-$30 per hour depending on education and experience. Benefits that this position entails include health insurance, ten days of paid sick leave per year, and two weeks of paid vacation per year. Benefits would become active after a prescribed probationary period.
