Litigation experience is a must. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and computer systems; knowledge of court rules and filing procedures; strong verbal, written and organizational skills; attention to detail; maintaining confidentiality; ability to follow oral and written instruction and work independently; ability to prioritize work and handle emergencies; and ability to tolerate stress. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and ProLaw (a case management system). Responsibilities and Duties Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, e-filing, managing calendars, opening, sorting and scanning the mail into ProLaw (a case management system); assemble, copy, print envelopes/labels for mail to go out; prepare and process legal documents and papers; draft general correspondence; mail, fax, arrange for delivery to clients, adversaries and court officials; compose email messages to clients, counsel forwarding various documents, correspondence or message from attorneys; receive and make phone calls; format documents for attorneys; and open new files and set up physical files; file, organize and maintain files. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing BSRs; preparing check requests; prepare bill letters; prepare expense reports; draft audit letters; and draft legal service agreements.
