Job Description

High quality White Plains plaintiff's personal injury litigation firm, but which also practices in other areas of law (commercial, domestic relations and civil rights litigation), seeks an experienced personal injury secretary/paralegal, with hands on plaintiff's personal injury experience. The candidate must be able to: interview clients, open new files, draft letters to clients, health care providers and adversaries, process medical requests and authorizations, draft pleadings and discovery responses, like a summons & complaint, respond to and draft discovery requests and responses (like Bills of Particulars and interrogatories) pay invoices, maintain the case calendar with litigation specific software. The candidate also should have experience in preparing settlement brochures and/or proposals to insurance carriers and/or defense counsel, in connection with our efforts to resolve a case. An understanding of No-Fault applications, No Fault Benefits and SUM benefits is also helpful. Spanish speaking is preferred, although not required, as many of our clients are Hispanic.
