Job Description
Job Summary The Deputy Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the legal and administrative functions of the office. This position involves a variety of tasks that require a strong and consistent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. The Deputy Clerk will assist with legal documentation, customer service, and clerical duties while ensuring compliance with established procedures. Duties Perform data entry and maintain accurate records for legal documents and case files. Manage filing systems to ensure all documents are organized and easily accessible. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting clients in navigating legal processes. Handle monitary transactions accurately as required by office procedures. Utilize word processing software to create, edit, and format documents efficiently. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal standards. Skills Previous paralegal experience is preferred but not mandatory. Extensive office experience with a focus on clerical tasks and data entry. Customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience with cash handling procedures is a plus. Proficiency in word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word) for document creation and editing.
