Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Legal Secretary to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio. This is a long-term contract opportunity for someone who is detail oriented and experienced in providing administrative support to legal teams. Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate calendars for attorneys, ensuring all appointments, deadlines, and meetings are accurately scheduled.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports as needed.
- Handle electronic court filings (e-Filing) and ensure all documents comply with court requirements.
- Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all records are complete and up-to-date.
- Conduct dictation and transcription tasks with speed and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage deadlines for legal filings and case-related tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and legal professionals.
- Assist with general administrative duties, such as answering phones, managing emails, and ordering supplies.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all legal and client information.
- Provide support for special projects or assignments as directed by attorneys.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in handling electronic court filings (e-Filing) and legal documentation processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in calendar management and scheduling software.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to handle dictation and transcription efficiently.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
