Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, and comfortable handling a variety of administrative responsibilities in a busy legal office. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential. Responsibilities Prepare and mail correspondence, legal documents, and filings accurately and promptly. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Schedule appointments, meetings, and other office commitments. Draft simple cover letters and routine correspondence. Assist attorneys and staff with general administrative and clerical tasks. Maintain organized files and records, both electronic and physical. Monitor deadlines and ensure documents and correspondence are sent in a timely manner. Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and opposing counsel as needed. Maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion when handling sensitive legal and client information. Qualifications Prior experience in a legal office or administrative setting preferred. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with standard office software and email. Ability to prepare accurate, professional correspondence. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
