Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join a small, dynamic law firm in Angleton, Texas. This position focuses on supporting attorneys in personal injury cases, primarily auto accidents, and requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients effectively. As a Long-term Contract position, this role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced legal environment while contributing to the success of the team.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle client intake for personal injury cases, ensuring accurate documentation and gathering essential case information.
  • Coordinate medical care, property damage claims, and imaging appointments such as MRIs for clients.
  • Draft and send letters of representation and manage written discovery processes.
  • Communicate with opposing counsel and involved parties through formal correspondence.
  • Prepare for depositions by organizing medical records and other necessary documents.
  • Provide support during depositions and mediations, ensuring attorneys have all required materials.
  • Maintain and manage the attorneys' calendars, including scheduling meetings and court appearances.
  • Assist with e-filing and court filings to ensure timely submission of legal documents.
  • Perform dictation tasks and ensure accurate transcription.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to maintain a smooth workflow in a high-volume environment.
