Job Description

The Havins Law Firm, a growing personal-injury plaintiff's firm in Bellaire, is hiring a bilingual Personal Injury Legal Secretary/Case Manager to own client case files from intake through settlement. This is a real career role with hands-on training and room to grow, ideal if you want to build a future in personal-injury law and genuinely help injured clients. What you'll do:
  • Own a caseload of personal-injury files from intake through demand and settlement
  • Coordinate client medical treatment and gather medical records and bills
  • Track treatment progress and follow up with providers on outstanding records
  • Assemble demand packages and keep cases moving toward resolution
  • Communicate daily with clients (many Spanish-speaking), medical providers, and insurance adjusters
  • Handle confidential legal and medical information with discretion
  • Keep clients updated and reassured, staying calm and professional under pressure What we're looking for:
  • Fluent bilingual English and Spanish (required)
  • you will speak with Spanish-speaking clients daily
  • Prior personal-injury or law-firm experience preferred (case management, legal assistant, paralegal, or medical/insurance background)
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage many active files at once
  • Comfortable with case-management software and Microsoft Office
  • Professional, reliable, and steady with stressed clients
