: Job Summary
Sr. Civil Structural Engineer (PE in state of Texas required)
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our company in Bellaire, Texas. This individual will lead and participate in teams to design projects of varying sizes, focusing on structures such as retaining walls, site development, drainage, paving, structural foundations, and structural steel.
Responsibilities
Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
Lead the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
Manage project teams, monitor progress, set deadlines, resolve issues, ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and evaluate team performance.
Prepare and review design calculations and check calculations.
Coordinate design drawings with engineers and drafting technicians.
Participate in the inspection and rehabilitation of existing structures.
Perform design checks as part of LEI quality metrics and best practices.
Resolve design problems through field investigations, detailed design work, and checking computations.
Develop, review, and negotiate priced proformas for projects.
Calculate quantity estimates.
Collaborate closely with other disciplines.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
Problem-solving skills.
Professional Engineering registration in Texas.
Ability to work on Federal Projects and meet federal requirements.
Possession of or eligibility for a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft products.
Availability and willingness to travel (up to 20%).
Strong math and analytical skills; detail-oriented.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
