Job Description

We are looking to add a team member that has experience with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and extensive experience with "Brightree" billing DME software. Here are some key factors that we are looking for: Experience with Medical Supplies, respiratory, durable medical equipment (DME) and billing/coding experience is helpful Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the entire medical supply billing process, Medicare & Private insurance rules, regulations and can abide by policies and procedures. Must be highly proficient and able to work in a TEAM environment. Position will be responsible for billing insurance carriers for respiratory and durable medical equipment from start to finish.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Inputting patient information into our computer system.
  • Verifying insurance coverage and benefits on the internet & by phone.
  • Prepare to submit claims to insurance companies.
  • Obtain DME prior-authorizations when necessary.
  • Input supply orders into the system and get them ready for customers and patient's.
  • Answer the telephones and assist customers and patents as necessary.
  • Submit and follow up on all insurance claims, both paper and electronic.
  • Ensure timely billing guidelines..
  • Obtain pre-authorizations, work closely with staff on billing questions/issues.
Full time position available. Monday thru Friday. No weekends. Must have an upbeat friendly personality in person and on the phones.
